Three good ways to keep this page fast, simple, and “GitHub Pages friendly”.
Option A (fastest MVP): store products in /data/gear.json and load it with fetch().
You edit a single JSON file → push to GitHub → website updates. This is the most reliable for performance.
Option B (easy editing without server): keep products in a Google Sheet and export as JSON via a tiny “published” endpoint.
Pros: you get an “admin-like” editor (Google Sheets). Cons: depends on Google availability; add caching.
Option C (real admin panel): a headless CMS (e.g., Strapi/Directus) or Firebase/Supabase + an admin UI.
Pros: login, edits, analytics dashboard integration. Cons: you need a backend (hosting), auth, and maintenance.
